We have just had Amy Cole from BBC Midlands Today come to film an interview with Mr Harris about our water in the basement. If you didn’t know, we have an underground river underneath our basement and we have pumps working 24/7 to pump the water back into the drains so that the school doesn’t flood. Even with no rain for several months, we’re still pumping water into the drains!
We’re hoping there will be a short piece on today pointing out the irony of us pumping away water when there are hosepipe bans and the reservoirs are really low. Mr Harris has also managed to make the point that the school doesn’t have the money to do anything with the water, other than pump it away and that is costing £1000 a year.
