Careers Programme
Careers Programme
At Hamilton School, our Careers Programme is rooted in our commitment to being Inspirational, Aspirational and Transformational. We believe that every pupil, regardless of need or starting point, deserves access to high-quality careers education that raises aspirations and prepares them confidently for adulthood.
Our careers curriculum is carefully structured and fully aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks of Good Career Guidance, ensuring a comprehensive and progressive programme from Year 7 through to Post-16. Through stable careers provision, meaningful encounters with employers and further education providers, personalised guidance and curriculum-linked learning, we equip our pupils with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to make informed decisions about their future.
We recognise that for young people with SEND, preparation for adulthood requires personalised planning, practical experiences and high expectations. Our programme supports pupils to develop independence, resilience, communication skills and an understanding of the world of work in ways that are accessible, relevant and ambitious.
By embedding careers education throughout school life, we ensure that aspirations are nurtured, opportunities are broadened and futures are transformed.
At Hamilton School, we do not set limits — we open doors.
